About Me
Kari is a life-long horse lover and equestrian. On the
back of a horse since before she could walk, she has an innate sense of
their movement, beauty, and virtue, which she tries to capture through the lens.
Kari dedicates most of her life to horses, an important aspect
when selecting a photographer. The ability to read body language
and know a split second before a horse performs a certain action can be
beneficial to a photographer, so Kari keeps in touch with horses not
only behind the lense, but also by riding, caring for, and studying
horses. The most important way to stay in touch with the body language
of horses is to take riding lessons. Kari takes riding lessons in
both jumping and eventing.
When
Kari is not photographing horses, she can be found riding or caring for
her own horses, studying for her degree in Veterinary Preventive
Medicine, or spending time with her husband.
